OUR FOUNDERS

Ankur Panda
A lawyer with 21 years of practice at District courts , High court of Delhi and Chandigarh and Supreme Court of India.
She is also trained in classical dance ( Kathak) and classical music (Hindustani).

Coming from a humble background, she always had a desire to open a school of her own for middle class family children and under privileged children.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, she saw the pathetic condition of children in the nearby slums from where all housemaids used to come for work to her society and other neighbourhood societies, as their parents were unable to feed their children 3 meals a day.
She started cooking breakfast for a few children and gradually from 5 children it grew to feeding 70-100 children everyday in the morning. That is when she approached her neighbours and friends, who would send freshly cooked food in the morning to help her cater to the rising demand.
It was in those fulfilling times when she found that her neighbourhood friend’s husband, Lowell, was on a break and wanted to teach underprivileged children . He starting helping her with food distribution and then would teach the same children who had gathered for food.
This is when they both founded this NGO to structure their work and make a consistent contribution, as with lockdowns opening, she had to get back to her professional commitments.

Lowell DeepSingh Wadan
An engineer, project manager by profession, passionate about education and giving back to the community. He believes in imparting holistic education which leads to future leaders and good citizens.

After 30 years in his career, Lowell had taken a break in 2021/22. While accompanying Ankur to distribute food and stationery to children in nearby slums, he would bring them some picture books. Seeing their excitement, he started spending some time reading to them. As the number of children and their interest grew, he started conducting classes in the slum itself. The kids started learning and building upon their basic Math, Hindi and English skills. He taught the children to use some free apps so that they could learn independently. He also collected funds from some well wishers to provide basic smartphones and data to the more brilliant children. When schools started re-opening, he contacted some nearby NGO run schools and got some of the children enrolled.
However, Lowell always felt that the current system of education does not create independent thinkers and leaders. He found that many of the children were very brilliant, and given the right type of learning opportunities and environment, they would flourish into future leaders. That's why he teamed up with like-minded Ankur to start this organisation.
